ANNE ROANE HENNESSY
After graduating from the University of Mississippi, Anne Roane Hennessy moved to New York City to attend the French Culinary Institute. Upon completion of culinary school, she realized that working as a line cook and private chef was not as fulfilling as she anticipated. She traded in her knife roll for a paint deck and started working as a design assistant. For eight years she worked for a series of talented interior designers throughout Manhattan — most recently for Tino Zervudachi, of the famed Mlinaric Henry & Zervudachi firm in London. In 2020, Anne Roane returned to her native Atlanta, GA where she opened her namesake interior design firm.
Anne Roane’s mission is to reflect a client’s personality and to create a home that is beautiful, distinctive and warm. With a love for what she calls ‘eclectic traditional’, Anne Roane incorporates thoughtful touches like unique textiles, handmade pottery, and antique or vintage furniture into every room. She has an affinity for mixing colors and patterns and sourcing items that will bring a dose of personality into a room.
Anne Roane’s goal is for her homes to bring you a sense of joy and contentment long after your project is complete, the photographs have been taken and life resumes. She doesn’t take herself too seriously and her interiors are a reflection of that.
